Sony’s PlayStation Store Expands Wishlist Capacity, Easing User Experience
Gamers have recently noticed a welcome update to the PlayStation Store’s wishlist feature, which now allows users to add more than 100 games to their lists. This change is a relief for PlayStation users who had previously reached the 100-item limit and struggled to keep track of the growing list of games they wanted to purchase.
The PlayStation Store, Sony’s digital marketplace, hosts a variety of popular first-party and third-party games. It also frequently runs sales, offering discounts on highly sought-after titles. With new games consistently being added, it can be difficult for users to stay updated on the latest releases and their prices. The wishlist feature has helped address this by allowing users to save games they’re interested in, creating a personalized list of potential purchases. However, the previous 100-item cap often proved limiting for users who wanted to save more games.
According to reports from ResetEra users, the wishlist limit has now been increased, with one player even claiming they were able to add as many as 188 items to their list. This significant increase provides users with nearly double the previous limit, making it easier to manage a growing list of desired games. This update should help alleviate frustrations for gamers who struggled with deciding which games were worthy of saving.
Despite the improvements, some players may still find a cap of 188 items restrictive. While most users might not reach this new limit, some players have noted that they like to add multiple versions of the same game to their wishlists to monitor which version receives the best discount. This could lead some users to hit the new cap faster than expected. As a result, there’s been some discussion about whether any limit on wishlists is necessary at all.
Despite these minor concerns, the increase in wishlist capacity is a positive development for PlayStation Store users. It will be interesting to see if Sony makes further adjustments to the storefront in the future. In the meantime, the PlayStation Store is running its Spring Sale, which offers discounts of up to 75% off on popular PS5 titles. This sale runs until April 23 and presents an opportunity for gamers to check off some of the items on their wishlists.
Additionally, some interesting titles are currently topping the PlayStation Store’s sales charts, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Forza Horizon 5, and Doom: The Dark Ages. These games, particularly Xbox-owned properties now available on the PlayStation Store, are capturing gamers’ attention. Hopefully, with the expanded wishlist feature, players will be able to save these exciting new releases for future purchase.
