Swedish Vibe-Coding Startup Lovable Raises $330M, Tripling Valuation in Five Months
Stockholm, Sweden – December 19, 2025 – Swedish startup Lovable has once again made headlines in the AI space, announcing a $330 million Series B funding round at a $6.6 billion valuation, more than tripling its worth in just five months. The round was led by CapitalG and Menlo Ventures, with participation from Khosla Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Databricks Ventures, and other investors.
This latest round follows a $200 million Series A raise in July, which valued the company at $1.8 billion.
Rapid Growth Fueled by AI and “Vibe-Coding”
Lovable has quickly emerged as a leader in the vibe-coding sector, offering a platform that enables users to write code and build complete applications simply by using text prompts. Launched in 2024, the company has seen explosive growth, reaching $100 million in ARR within eight months, and doubling to $200 million ARR just four months later.
The platform already counts Klarna, Uber, and Zendesk among its customers. According to Lovable, over 100,000 new projects are created daily, and more than 25 million projects were built in its first year alone.
Plans for Expansion
Lovable said the new funding will be used to expand enterprise features, build deeper integrations with third-party apps, and provide infrastructure to support full-scale application development, including databases, payments, and hosting capabilities.
Anton Osika, Lovable’s co-founder and CEO, emphasized the company’s focus on scaling globally while remaining in Sweden. Speaking at the Slush conference in Helsinki, Osika said:
“It was tempting, but I really resisted that. I [can] sit here now and say, ‘Look, guys, you can build a global AI company from this country.’ There is more available talent if you have a strong mission, and you have a lot of urgency coming together as a group and working.”
Tax Controversy and European Presence
In November, Lovable faced scrutiny for not paying VAT, a tax applied to most goods and services in the European Union (EU). Osika acknowledged the oversight in a LinkedIn post, stating that the company would correct the situation, while also commenting that complex tax rules in the EU pose challenges for high-growth startups.
Vibe-Coding Attracts Investor Attention
Vibe-coding remains a hot sector for venture capital. Another startup in the space, Cursor, raised $2.3 billion in November at a $29.3 billion valuation, also marking its second funding round of the year and a significant valuation increase between June and November.
Lovable continues to cement its place among the fastest-growing AI startups globally. TechCrunch reached out to the company for additional details.
